I have been so bummed out these past two days that I am finally putting my foot down to vent already. I am so sad to say I have lost a little member from my little pet family. I don't know about you all but I am a fanatic animal lover including other creatures such as... crustaceans! :D Cookie Monster was the last addition in my pet family who has past away recently. He was a land hermit crab that I had bought when I was on vacation. I already own one land hermit crab so I wanted to bring back a friend for Hermie because I felt that Hermie needed a buddy. (Hermit Crabs are actually really social and when bought they should be bought in packs) I also actually got to witness them talking to each other making croaking sounds and waving their antennas the day after I introduced them together. How cool is that?! I have to admit I was freaking out but only because it was so great to see! And that my concern of Hermie needing a buddy was right indeed. It's when you have a fiancé like mine who says "one is enough Hun"(Genaro's voice), that didn't get to give Hermie more brothers or sisters. When I had purchased Cookie Monster I didn't really get to see the condition he was in because of Genaro telling me to hurry up in the store. It wasn't until we got home where I noticed he was handicapped!! As well as having some sad looking discoloration. I should have raised questions but I guess his health passed by my discretion. I am not a hermit crab specialist or anything but I am a proud owner and a responsible one at that to any living creature I oath to take care of and bring home. So it hurts me that he left us. His death has taken me by surprise :( and I miss my little guy. He loved carrots by the way! Genaro says he is going to buy me two next time so I'm looking forward for that but nothing can replace my Cookie Monster.
